Burnt Umber Base Plate (10")

The warm, toasted colour of fresh-baked bread crust, brushed onto clay by hand.

Each stroke of burnt umber glaze shows where the brush moved, so the surface has depth and movement, darker in some places and lighter in others. It's a grounding base plate for hearty meals: a steak with greens, a plate of roast vegetables, or a slow Sunday breakfast.

Handcrafted from high-fired stoneware.

Care
Food, microwave and dishwasher safe. Avoid steel sponges and stainless steel cutlery, which can mark the glaze. Not suitable for oven or freezer use, and avoid sudden temperature changes.
