This chawan takes the hantsutsu form, a traditional half-cylinder shape with tall, steady walls that give you room to whisk your tea to a fine, frothy finish. The warm toasted oatmeal glaze is dipped halfway, meeting the speckled white clay in a soft, natural line. Organic and balanced, it's as lovely on a shelf as it is in your hands.

Handcrafted from high-fired stoneware and hand-glazed, so the line where the colours meet is unique to every bowl.

Care
Food, microwave and dishwasher safe. Avoid steel sponges and stainless steel cutlery, which can mark the glaze. Not suitable for oven or freezer use, and avoid sudden temperature changes.
