Marigold Hiragata Bowl (8")

$25

Some colours make a table feel like summer. Marigold is one of them: a warm, sunny yellow that lifts even the simplest weekday lunch.

The hiragata is a centuries-old Japanese form, a wide, shallow tea bowl traditionally brought out in the warmer months, when its open mouth let tea cool a little faster. We kept the shape and gave it an everyday life: a tangle of pasta, a bright grain bowl, cut mango set out for sharing. Its low walls let food spread out and look generous.

Each bowl is handcrafted from high-fired terracotta clay, so small shifts in glaze and texture make every piece its own.

Pairs well with: the Hiragata in White, Steel Blue or Pear Green for a mixed table, or the Steel Blue Base Plate underneath.
